Instrument Design Features
Good Heat Dissipation
Over half of the instrument's body adopts an aluminum alloy shell design. The top of the instrument features trough-type heat dissipation elements. The overall system provides excellent heat dissipation, which prolongs the machine's lifespan and ensures stable performance of the X-ray analyzer, resulting in a very low failure rate.
Simple Operation
The instrument follows a design concept based on simplicity and economic principles. The hardware uses a fixed high-voltage power supply and eliminates complex internal motors and filters. It also includes an external 316 calibration plate and other simplified design elements. The software features a user-friendly interface. With just three screen taps, users can start a test in 45 seconds, and obtain brand and content results in as little as 0.8 seconds—allowing customers to achieve higher returns at lower operational costs.


User-Friendly Design
The instrument is lightweight (1.6 kg) and compact (220 mm × 150 mm × 220 mm). It features a durable anti-fall wrist strap, a battery power feedback light at the bottom, and radiation warning lights on both the top and bottom. The diamond-patterned soft rubber handle offers a comfortable grip. The instrument is well-balanced and can stand independently on a workbench during testing—no need for hand support. Its one-button operation helps reduce fatigue during long periods of use.
The display is fully integrated into the machine (non-detachable PDA), and is dustproof, fog-resistant, waterproof, and highly durable. It uses a high-resolution industrial-grade TFT touchscreen color display with LED backlight and a 240 × 320 pixel resolution.
Accurate Test Data
The instrument software is based on the fundamental parameter method. Before alloy analysis, the K-1688 portable spectrometer does not require prior knowledge of the alloy type. It includes an automatic analysis library with over 500 standard grades and can analyze up to 10,000 types of alloys. Users can customize up to 300 types.
A compensatory testing method allows analysis of irregular or very small samples—such as filaments with a diameter of 0.04 mm.
It can detect 23 elements, including: Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Hf, Ta, W, Re, Pb, Bi, Zr, Nb, Mo, Pd, Ag, Cd, Sn, and Sb.

With onboard 2GSD storage and USB2.0, Bluetooth, and GPS connectivity, managing data is seamless. Store up to 400,000 data entries, choose between ppm or % terms, and export to Excel with ease.
